- Dr. Chandra has consistently offered training for school nurses during staff development at the Phenix City Schools and Russell County Schools

- Dr. Chandra has been a frequent speaker at PTA meetings at all the local schools.
- Dr. Chandra was awarded a “Special Recognition Award” in 2012 by the Phenix City Education Foundation
- Leading COVID-19 vaccination efforts throughout Phenix City and Russell County.
- Sponsoring prizes for children in the Russell County and Phenix City school systems.
- Actively participating as a member of the Chamber of Commerce.
- Serving on the advisory committee for Phenix City Head Start.
- Serving as a board member for East Alabama Mental Health.
