Abran Luevano

My name is Abran Luevano, and I recently moved here from Texas with my wife, who is an internal medicine resident at EAMC. I graduated with a Master of Social Work degree from The University of Texas at Arlington, specializing in Mental Health and Substance Misuse, and completed my clinical practicum at Millwood Psychiatric Hospital in Arlington, Texas. I am also a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in both Texas and Alabama, currently pursuing a Doctor of Sport and Performance Psychology from The University of Western States, specializing in Sport and Performance Psychology Consulting.

Humans are the most fascinating subjects to me because of the variability in personality, biology, cultural, and socioeconomic factors. No two humans are the same, and that keeps me on my toes! I thoroughly enjoy helping individuals work through various issues, watching them discover pieces of themselves they forgot about or never realized were there. Encouraging others is one of my biggest strengths and something that fulfills me in my role as a therapist, as well as a supportive friend, colleague, and community member.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my wife and trying all the different foods we can find! I also love going to church, reading my Bible, camping, dancing, attending sporting events, and spending quality time with my family.

I am so blessed to be a part of Preferred Medical Group alongside Dr. Chandra and the entire PMG family! I look forward to contributing to the care of every person who walks through our doors!
