School Supply Donation– While you were shopping for back to school supplies, so was Phenix City Children’s! Dr. Chandra provided some supplies for Operation Back to School Supplies with Beyond Expectations Community Outreach. More than 200 folders were added to the backpacks given away to Seale residents. The Phenix City Headstart received a supply of crayons, glue and pencils for their preschool students starting school.
First infant massage class– While older children were getting ready for the start of school, Phenix City Children’s hosted its first baby massage class, taught by Lucy Hellein with Therapeutic Massage by Lucy. New moms learned the benefits and bonding effects of infant massage. The class was such a success that we now hold classes regularly.
