PTA Talk– Dr. Chandra spoke to Lakewood Primary School parents about positive reinforcement discipline strategies.
Career Day at Mount Olive Primary- Dr. Chandra talked to 1st and 2nd graders about what being a doctor is all about! Then, she took a picture with her “doctor” friends (below), and the school administrators and other presenters (left.)
Career Day at PCIS– Dr. Jennifer Rumph attended Career Day at Phenix City Intermediate School and talked to students about her journey to becoming a pediatrician. She explained that this career requires a “lifetime commitment to learning.”
Catch Grant Luncheon and Focus Group- We began wrapping up our “Kids Need a Medical Home” research grant with data compiled from quantitative surveys, a focus group and an in depth interview with a mom. Dr. Chandra will submit a detailed report to the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Sponsorship of Lakewood on the Green- Dr. Chandra sponsored this annual amateur golf tournament, hosted by Lakewood Elementary and Primary Schools, two of our partners in education. Dr. Bananas attended the event and had fun meeting the Lakewood bear mascot.
