Let’s Move Phenix City– Phenix City Children’s invited the community to a family fun day and childhood obesity awareness event. Coaches from local schools and local business owners ran 25 activities for kids to participate in. Upon arrival, every child was given an activity card. These cards were signed at each activity, and after 10 activities, the child received a prize. Activities included a bouncy house, inflatable obstacle course, hop scotch and archery. The idea was to show kids that getting 60 minutes of physical activity in a day can be fun! 300 children participated in Let’s Move Phenix City.
