Lil’ Paws Speech– Dr. Chandra spoke to the mothers of preschoolers at the Lil’ Paws Learning Center regarding common misconceptions about ADHD.
Supporting Local Races– The cooler weather inspired many local residents to get out and run at the Miles for Missions 5K and Ft Mitchell Firefighter 5K. Phenix City Children’s supported both races and Amanda Jenkins attended both.
Baby Massage Class– Lucky babies got a massage at our monthly Baby Massage class. Lucy Hellein continues to donate her time to teaching moms how to give their babies a relaxing massage.
Phenix City Intermediate School’s Parenting Day– A representative from Phenix City Children’s spoke on physical activity and how it can affect academic performance.
Annual Family Fitness Festival in Phenix City– Dr. Chandra is a yearly sponsor of the event, and two members of the Phenix City Children’s staff attended the event and played active games with the children attending.
Halloween fun– We joined the Busy Little Hands Playgroup, sponsored by Dr. Chandra, at the library for a Halloween story and trick or treating. Our staff also dressed up!
