Toddler Story Time at Fort Benning– Phenix City Children’s supported the Sayers Library on Ft. Benning by sponsoring the toddler story time on Wednesday’s. Dr. Chandra sent over materials for their craft time and a representative helped read The Little Red Hen.
Baby Signing Time classes– Every Saturday in September, moms met at Fort Mitchell Clinic to learn about sign language for infants. Baby Signing Time was taught by certified signing instructor Gaylene Heileman.
Teaching Hand washing to the Kiddos– Amanda Jenkins taught children about how germs spread and about proper hand washing techniques at Lil Folks, Lakewood, Mt. Olive and Meadowlane schools. The children learned how to use the “Dracula sneeze” to keep from spreading germs on their hands.
Eric Lee Concert– Eric Lee performed in September to benefit the Autism Hope Center at Idle Hour Park. To show our support, Phenix City Children’s sent bubbles and temporary tattoos for the kids in attendance.
Stroller Strong Moms – The fitness group that meets at Lakebottom Park celebrated their first anniversary in September. Dr. Chandra sent a fun hula hoop game for the little ones to play after the mommies were done working out. We are proud to support these moms who make health and fitness a priority.
