I have more than 25 years of experience in Emergency Department practice, working in Level 2 and Level 3 facilities with annual patient volumes of 15,000–25,000. I am Board-Certified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. Previously, I served as the Director of an accredited Vascular & Non-Invasive Cardiology Lab, which allowed me to develop specialized skills in patient evaluations. I also maintain strong procedural skills and am qualified to teach RSI/Airway Management and Vascular Access Procedures.
In 1985, I entered private practice in Guntersville, Alabama, managing an Internal/Geriatric Medicine practice alongside my work in Emergency Medicine for nearly 20 years. In 2007, I moved to Decatur, Alabama, to serve as an attending physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Decatur-Morgan Hospital. I have been with Preferred Medical Group since 2019, providing compassionate, patient-centered care to my community.
With my children grown, I enjoy traveling and staying engaged in the medical community.

Welcome! I'm Dr. Chandra, a pediatrician and the founder of Preferred Medical Group. My family and I are proud to call Alabama home, and I've had the privilege of caring for this community since 2007.
As a pediatrician, I've always been passionate about providing the best care for children, but I recognized the need for both primary care and mental health services, which is why I've made it a priority to offer these services alongside pediatric care in my practice. It's important to me that every family has access to comprehensive care in one place, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to support the health and well-being of our community.
